Instant glue and baking soda: extra touches

So: baking soda + superglue. To work with cyanoacrylate in thick layers, an amateur method is known with successive filling of the seam with baking soda , wetted with superglue and playing in this case the role of not only a filler , but also an alkaline polymerizing agent. The mixture hardens almost instantly , forming an acrylic-like filled plastic , and in some cases can successfully replace epoxy compositions , including those reinforced with fiberglass. , finely ground plaster or concrete can be used as a filler , for example , dust obtained when drilling holes in such materials.
The reaction of cyanoacrylate with soda takes place with the release of temperature , as a result of which , when applied to plastics and porous materials, the strongest connection is obtained with the formation of molecular bonds.

And, the connection is so strong, which is most likely, second time, thing will break somewhere else, but the superglue will hold up.
This recipe has been tested by me on many things - it works flawlessly, For example:

  • broken headlight mounts
  • radiator fitting
  • fixing mirrors ( yes , when the ears break off, soda with superglue securely fastens them back)
  • bumper
  • buggy levers 1/8
  • table lamp mount
  • kettle body
  • lens mount
  • radiator grille
  • chair leg on wheels! ( a year has passed , and she can withstand my weight of 87 kg , the second leg has already cracked , and the one repaired with soda does not even think)
  • uninterruptible power supply housing
  • dropped monitor bracket , etc.

I’ll tell you how it ’s done:
1. Take the broken thing
2. Easily fix the moving parts
3. Connect tightly and hold
4. Sprinkle soda on top
5. Wet abundantly with super glue
6. Similarly, on the other side
7. So you need to repeat several times , will be very strong: glue-soda-glue-soda.
