Jeans , which constantly have to be tightened due to the fact that they are large in the waist and fall off, risk going into the trash. Agree that such a trifle can piss off even the most calm person. Therefore, today we want to share an ingenious , but simple way with which you can sew in jeans at the waist .
For work you will need:
- sharp scissors;
- pin;
- awl;
- elastic band 2.5 cm wide - 3 cm.
Make a cut corresponding to the width of the elastic on the inside of the jeans in the place where the belt loop is sewn. Repeat the procedure on the other side of the jeans. Work carefully as the incision only needs to be made in one layer of the belt.
Next , cut off a piece of gum so that its size is a few cm smaller than the distance between the cuts made.
Attach a pin to one end of the elastic.
Insert the elasticated pin into one of the holes on the waistband and pull the elastic through to the other hole. Make sure that the free end of the elastic remains visible and does not fall under the belt.
Secure both ends of the elastic with tailor's needles under the loops.
Sew the elastic with threads to match the jeans.
Now jeans will not fall off and you will feel comfortable.
For clarity, we present to your attention a video that shows in detail the process of sewing elastic into a belt.
