Adrenal dysfunction can be caused by synthetic steroids. Our psyche also has a huge influence on their work.
Stress , especially chronic stress , puts a lot of stress on the adrenal glands as they are forced to release cortisol, the stress hormone, in excess. After a while, they are so exhausted that they begin to produce less and less of it. This is a hostile phenomenon , since cortisol is important for our body.
Stress , laughter and adrenal health
- How to take care of the adrenal gland
- The best psychotherapy is a conversation with a kind person.
- Therapy with laughter
Cortisol affects the central nervous system: its abundance , like its deficiency , affects the personality of a person. If the adrenal glands are forced to produce more cortisol, this moment disrupts the work of the neurotransmitter serotonin.
When there is a lack of concentration of this hormone in our body, we have a problem with sleep , our mood worsens , and the development of manias and phobias is possible. Paired with a lot of stress are often experienced by many people sleep problems.
How to take care of your adrenal glands
- We take care of the appropriate amount of antioxidants ( vegetables and fruits) in the diet that affect neurotransmitters and hormones.
- We'll have breakfast as soon as we wake up.
- We don't eat standing up.
- We eat five times a day to avoid fluctuations in blood sugar levels.
- We drink water.
- We take care of the delivery of B vitamins ( cereals , dry legumes , nuts) and vitamin C.
- Finding the right time to sleep.
- We spend time in the sun. The time of the day , at which it is more intense , we choose for a 10-minute walk.
Even a small family quarrel puts a lot of stress on our adrenal glands when we or overwhelmed by responsibilities. Remember that the weekend is a time meant for relaxation.
After a large dose of stress, take care of yourself for 2-3 days. Always after the end of the training cycle organized by me for patients , I was very tired. Since the master classes brought inexpressible pleasure , this fact always surprised me. I couldn't figure out why I'm so tired? Still, our adrenal glands, every time after an intense load , even bringing joy and satisfaction , require at least one day of rest to return to balance and a large dose of serotonin.
After each stress, the adrenal glands need 24-48 hours of rest to stabilize the hormones.
It is worth remembering:
- Our eyes need beautiful views.
- Our ears need pleasant sounds.
- We need comfortable smells and taste sensations.
- We need a sense of calm and a friendly atmosphere at home and at work.
- We return to memories and impressions.
- We sing , we dance , we play.
- We try to be nice , good-natured , helpful.
- We laugh as much as we can.
- Physical contact with lovers has an incredible effect. A gentle touch , especially on the erogenous zones , leads to an increase in the concentration of oxytocin , which has a relaxing effect , gives a feeling of peace and satisfaction.
The feeling of happiness will provide an appropriate level of serotonin , which has an excellent effect on the adrenal glands.
The effect of serotonin on human emotions is most noticeable when we are in love. Scientists have proven that the concentration of this hormone in lovers increases even by 200%, but when the beloved is not around and we begin to yearn , the level of serotonin decreases. Therefore, lovers have such an emotional swing , when they are overwhelmed by a series of conflicting feelings - from euphoria to chagrin.
My advice: I suggest that lovers increase their vitamin C intake by focusing their diet on vegetables and fruits.
The best psychotherapy is a conversation with a kind person.
Talking to another person is the most accessible therapy to regulate stress. This rule is well known to us women . We are trying hard to teach this to our partners. We get different results.
During a sincere conversation, listen carefully to the interlocutor. In this way you will get to know his views and thoughts. Learn to respect the other person. Let your conversation be sincere. Do not ignore the interlocutor. Don't give in if you don't like something Conversation with another person teaches you to define your own expectations. It happens that we speak out loud our experiences , which helps us to eliminate them. Crying has a therapeutic effect on the psyche. It has a cleansing effect.
Therapy with laughter
Laughter is the therapy we can provide to protect our nervous system.
We distinguish three types of laughter:
- Blooming smile. Joy is noticeable even through a slight lifting of the corners of the lips. We should smile as often as possible - this is information for our brains that we are relaxed and safe.
- Intense and loud laughter.
- Laughter to tears.
When does laughter not heal?
- When we laugh , mocking another person , trying to humiliate him.
- When we laugh falsely.
A smile is necessary , because thanks to it people are more friendly , inclined to help and consent. The laughter of one person encourages , prompts to action. At one conference, during my presentation, one listener smiled very sincerely at me. Thanks to this, I felt that I had support , I conducted the report calmly , relaxed. I got the impression that we knew each other , although it was not so. It was her benevolent smile that affected me , and I felt as if we had known each other for a long time.
Benefits of smiling:
- aid in blood circulation;
- positive effect on the cleansing of the gallbladder;
- positive effect on intestinal motility;
- positive effect on the breathing process;
- influence on carcinogenic changes in the body;
- influence on hormonal balance.
The medulla , or pituitary gland, is the most important endocrine gland , influencing almost all bodily functions. Violations of his work can affect our health , so it is so important to stimulate him positively.
